Russian companies have produced more than 40 thousand tons of paint and varnish goods

In early 2018, Russian enterprises produced paint and varnish goods in 20.2% less than in December 2017. This is reported by Rosstat.

According to the department, in January 2018 industrial production grew by 2.9%. Compared with December 2017, the industrial production index fell by 20.4%.

In particular, the companies – consumers of paint and varnish materials produced 332 thousand washing machines, which is 17.3% more than in January 2017 and 7.4% less than in December, 442 combines (-18.7% compared to January and -9.9% % by December), 34 bulldozers (+70% against January and -32% by December), 113 thousand cars (+ 31.7% against January and + 6.9% against December).

The volume of paint production at the beginning of 2018 is comparable to the production in January 2017. The factories gave the market 47.1 thousand tons of paint based materials based on polymers.

 

This figure is higher by 2.6 thousand tons of production in January 2017 in 44.5 thousand tons and 20.2% less than the volume of December.

Recalling, the year 2017 was a record year for the production of paint and varnish goods for the past seven years. Enterprises produced 958 thousand tons of paint, which is 10.2% more than in 2016.
